All of my favorite cheddars except old croc didn’t get tasted but they are probably exclusive to Wisconsin. Next time you do a dairy list you might need a Wisconsinite to send you a care package. Old croc is still probably top ten though so atleast you found a quality sharp cheddar.

Can you do this but JUST for medium cheddars? They’re really entirely different things. Like, most of us (including me) wouldn’t put sharp cheddar on a grilled cheese. It’s all about medium cheddars for that. (I’d expect Tillamook to win, but I haven’t tried a ton of others.)

You missed one! Dubliner Cheddar is equal to Old Croc Extra Sharp Cheddar in my opinion.

Wyke Farm cheddar and Beechers Flagship, especially the reserve, should definitely get a mention here. Kirkland signature Coastal from Ford Farm is also pretty good.

I recognize everybody gets to have their opinions, but Cabot only being recognized for their habanero is a travesty! Their Farmhouse Reserve is simply the BEST!

Maybe I should take a different attitude and try some of these supposedly superior cheddars…
