Trader Joe’s quietly rolled out their new Cheddar Jalapeño Pull Apart Bread and the internet is freaking out. From Reddit to TikTok, people are singing the praises of this new TJ’s bread. Upon first glance, it looks like misshapen rolls topped with a few dried jalapeño slices. We grabbed a bag to see if it is truly all it’s cracked up to be or if this cheesy bread is all hype. Here are our thoughts.
Trader Joe’s Cheddar Jalapeño Pull Apart Bread is very good. It definitely delivers on cheddar, as promised, and it has a nice little kick. It’s soft and pillowy. It’s affordable and you get a good amount in the package. I don’t know if it is the best, most amazing Trader Joe’s product out there. It is extremely bready. I also didn’t enjoy it straight out of the package like I’ve seen some people doing on TikTok. I think it needs to be tossed into the toaster oven to live up to its full potential. I also wish there were more jalapeños on top. There were maybe three total on ours, making it feel like an afterthought. I want the jalapeño-iness of the inside to be reflected on top. All my criticisms are nitpicky, though. This bread is very good and I would buy it again. Is this their best product ever? No. Would I go to town on this and a bowl of vegetarian chili? Duh.
