GHOST protein powder fans are already raving about the new GHOST flavor: GHOST Cinnabon Caramel Pecan. This fall-inspired addition to the GHOST Cinematic Universe capitalizes on the success of GHOST’s original Cinnabon flavor, which launched last year and quickly became a fan favorite. Since GHOST is the brand to go to when you want your post-workout protein shake to feel like a cheat day dessert, I had high hopes!
Sidebar: Are you reading this at the gym right now? Because I’m writing it from the comfort of my work-from-home couch, which I haven’t left in at least two hours. I’m a casual gym user myself, but I won’t pretend to speak gym bro. I don’t know how gains work, and my gym clothes are from the discount section at Target. In a way, that makes me the perfect person to review a flavor of protein powder modeled after Cinnabon… which isn’t something you eat when you want to feel energized or good about yourself. And hey, that’s okay with me—I actually wanted this new GHOST protein powder flavor to taste cozy, like an Autumn treat. So let’s see if this new GHOST flavor lived up to my expectations, shall we?

I peeked at the ingredients before I tried this new GHOST flavor and saw that it contains 0 added sugars, which, hey, is pretty common in protein powders. But since this is a Cinnabon flavored protein powder, you know it’s going to be sweet. Even sweeter than a traditional Cinnabon, since it’s artificially sweet.
Pros: It’s rich, frothy, and delivers on every single flavor advertised. You’re getting a hint of caramel, warm cinnamon, and even icing in the mix. All of this is balanced quite nicely with the nutty, toasty pecan, which helps temper the sweetness. Seriously, the pecan pie vibes really sell it for me. It’s incredibly indulgent and, yes, believe it or not, pretty cozy for a protein shake. Anyone who likes the original GHOST Cinnabon protein powder will probably love this.
Cons: As I feared, the biggest con to this new GHOST flavor, at least for me, is the artificial sweetener. I’m pretty sensitive to it (and, honestly, sweetness in general), and the sucralose and Ace K are hard to miss. But I’ve gotta assume most people seeking out these bold, dessert-inspired protein mixes are basically immune to fake sugar by now. It’s like an extra superpower that comes with the muscles. And given the depth of flavors in it, I just know you freaks are gonna love this.
