People gloss over Monster’s line of canned coffees. With all the hubbub over the newest Ultra flavors, it’s easy to forget that there’s an entire group of people who only drink Java Monster. That group must be significant, because Java Monster innovations hit shelves as frequently as any other line. Case in point, a new Java Monster subline is hitting shelves next year with a killer new look. Need it spelled out for you? Monster Killer Brew is launching in 2025 in two flavors: Mean Bean and Loca Moca.
Are these really new Monster flavors?
Yes, these flavors do, technically, already exist but not with nearly this much caffeine! Old school Java Monster Mean Bean contains 200 milligrams of caffeine, while Loca Moca has just 170 milligrams. But the Killer Brew line is labeled as Triple Shot, meaning we can expect every can to contain a whopping 300 milligrams of caffeine. Be mindful of your caffeine intake, folks; 400 milligrams a day is considered the standard maximum daily intake for adults, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Doesn’t Monster already have a higher-caffeine coffee line?
Not for much longer! But, yes, at present, there are Java Monsters on shelves with 300 milligrams of caffeine, appropriately labeled with a big 300 right across the front. The 300 line comes in French Vanilla and Mocha—shockingly normal names from the company that is bringing you Blue Hawaiian and Viking Berry in 2025.
Our sources say this new Monster coffee line will replace those two 300-branded Java Monster flavors. Considering this new line has a way cooler design and uses the existing Java Monster flavor names rather than generic equivalents, I think this is a good choice on Monster’s part.
When will these new Monster flavors hit shelves?
Per those same sources, Monster Killer Brew is expected to hit shelves in February 2025. If you’re a diehard fan of the existing 300 line, you’ve got a few months to stock up. Monster is very good about sending over samples of their newest stuff, so when I get these in hand, you know I’ll be posting a review here on Sporked.
Are these new coffee Monster flavors going to be limited-time-only?
Nope! Monster Energy doesn’t really do limited-time stuff. In reality, they aren’t changing much from a business perspective; the Java Monster 300 line took up two shelf slots, and these Killer Brew flavors will fit right into where those 300 flavors were. We can expect these new Monster drink flavors to stick around as long as it sells well enough. If they sell exceptionally well, we might see a third Java Monster flavor expand into the Killer Brew format. Fingers crossed for Salted Caramel.
