Budgeting around the holidays is tough, especially when you’re the assigned host family and all of a sudden you’re feeding 30 people twice in the span of a month. Fortunately, Aldi is rolling back inflation with their cheapest Thanksgiving basket in five years. For just $47, Aldi is bundling an entire Butterball turkey along with enough side dishes and dessert to feed ten people. That’s less than $5 per person. That’s cheaper than most frozen pizza out there.
What’s in Aldi’s Thanksgiving basket?
According to a press release, Aldi’s promotion comes as the result of a study suggesting that “grocery prices are up 50% across the industry since 2019.” And though you’re probably not collecting money at the door, it’s still a deal to get ten servings of Thanksgiving favorites for just under $50 (that’s even cheaper than Walmart’s 2024 Thanksgiving meal deal). So, what do you get in this Thanksgiving bundle?
Here’s the rundown:
- Butterball turkey (they assume a 16 lb turkey)
- Spices for the turkey
- Gravy
- Rolls
- Boxed mac and cheese
- Boxed stuffing mix
- Cranberry sauce ingredients
- Mashed potato ingredients
- Sweet potato casserole ingredients (including marshmallows)
- Green bean casserole ingredients (including crispy onions)
- Pumpkin pie (and whipped topping)
What if you aren’t hosting Thanksgiving dinner? Aldi still has you covered
Say you aren’t cooking for a crowd. Instead, you’re heading over to a Friendsgiving to drink and eat and…drink. Aldi has something for you, as well. This year, the store is offering three different Thanksgiving bundles under $10, each paired with a bottle of California Heritage Pinot Noir.
Here are the bundles:
- Emporium Selection Aged Reserve White Cheddar + Specially Selected Scalloped Crackers + California Heritage Pinot Noir
- Park Street Deli Truffle or Red Pepper Dip + Savoritz Entertainment Crackers + California Heritage Pinot Noir
- Bake Shop Pumpkin Pie + California Heritage Pinot Noir
