Sprite Cranberry Is Back! But It Might Not Be the One You Want

Sprite Cranberry is coming back! Oh, wait, sorry, nevermind. Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry is coming back. Yes, according to an Instagram post from @markie_devo, the somewhat divisive holiday Sprite flavor will make its triumphant return for the fifth consecutive year.

What is Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry?

Winter Spiced Cranberry Sprite is regular Sprite (or Sprite Zero) flavored with “spices” (think: nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger) and cranberry flavor.

While it has its fans, a lot of folks seem to be a bit disappointed by the return of Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry rather than regular old Sprite Cranberry from 2013-2018, which they say is tangier and tastier than the spiced version. One commenter on Markie’s post put their foot down saying, “F this I’m buying the Starry version this year.” (Read all about the release of Starry Cranberry Blizz.) But others celebrated the news saying they were excited for the return of the “best flavor ever.”

When is this holiday Sprite coming out?

As of this writing, Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry will drop in less than three days, according to the countdown on the Sprite website. That would make the release date October 14. But the countdown gives the option to add a reminder to your calendar, should you need it. You can also sign up to get an email when it drops. Apparently, soda-focused folks really need to be told when to go seek out a new release.

You’ll be able to find Winter Spiced Cranberry Sprite in stores nationwide. And it’ll be available in both regular and zero sugar in a wide range of sizes: 12-pack regular cans, 2L bottles, 20oz bottles, 6-pack mini cans, and .5L bottle 6-packs.

Will you be rushing out to buy Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry? Or will you, too, hop on the Cranberry Starry train instead? Let us know!
