Pringles Is Bringing Back Four Fan-Favorite Flavors, Just Because They ~Can~

There comes a time in every young adult’s life when we mustache ourselves one simple question. The question in question: “What have Pringles been up to recently?” And if you are like me and Pringles are your Roman Empire, never fear—we here at Sporked actually know exactly what Pringles have been up to recently, seeing as the Julius Pringle told us himself…well, he emailed…well, the Pringles PR people emailed. You know what? How we know is not important; the fact is we know that some big things are coming our way from Pringles this month, including the return of a few iconic Pringles flavors and the addition of a new one. So buckle your seatbelts, put two chips in your mouth on top of each other and pretend you’re a duck because it’s Pringles time, baybee! Let’s quack in.

Okay, but which flavors are coming back and what is the new one? I haven’t had a single Pringle since Spring(le)—with which new flavor(s) do you suggest I mingle?

I’m so glad you asked, there are literally so many flavors, so let’s start with the returning ones. Dill Pickle Pringles are coming back, and this time they’re coming to stay! While this isn’t one of the most popular Pringles flavors out there, fans have apparently been begging for it to come back for the last two years, so the company decided, what the heck? Let’s give the people what they want. According to the Pringles Wiki (a real website that exists), some form of Pickle Pringle (Wavy, Extreme, Xtreme, Xtra-Screamin’, Xtra-Ordinary, Pickle Rick, you name it) has been around off and on in various places in the world since 2008, with the most recent release being (as far as I can tell) 2022. But it is now 2024 now and Pickle Pringles are back with their “dillicious balance of straight-from-the-jar dill pickle flavor,” as a press release put it. Honestly? I never tried them any of the last five times they were out, so I am excited to see what Mr. Pringle man has cooked up for us. Will they in fact be dillicious? This remains to be seen.

As for the other flavors, Pringles is coming in hot with the return of two Hot Ones x Pringles flavors: Pringles Hot Ones Los Calientes Rojo, which Pringles called “a punchy, smoky blend of serrano and habanero chiles,” and Pringles Hot Ones Los Calientes Verde, which feature a “balance of spicy applewood smoked red jalapeños and zesty habanero,” (we actually really liked these when we tried them). Not only that, but we are getting a brand new Hot Ones x Pringles flavor: Pringles Hot Ones Los Calientes Barbacoa. This new Pringles flavor is supposed to taste like “a blend of chipotle and smoky jalapeño flavor and earthy herbs and spices,” which will allegedly “deliver tongue-tingling spice in every bite.”

A tongue-tingling Pringle? The internal rhyming alone is enough to make me buy them. And now I can get them (as can you), along with all the other Hot Ones Pringles and the Dill Pickle Pringles at stores nationwide as of the beginning of October. So saddle up (get it? Because Pringles are saddle shaped?) and head on over to the store if these pickle Pringles are a big dill to you.
