We may as well stop fighting it, y’all. We are officially turning the corner into peak pumpkin season, and as much as I want to be taken seriously in this industry and pooh-pooh the pumpkin like I am supposed to, you will never find this person pooh-poohing the pumpkin. Why? Because it’s just so cozy. The warm spices, warm colors, sweaters, crunchy leaves, ugh I may have been born as far away from the glorious beginning of fall as possible, but gosh darn it, I love it. And I admit that. Feel free to revoke my “good taste license” because I’ll be too busy sipping spiced coffee drinks and scarfing down pumpkin muffins shaped like little ghosts to even care. All that said, it is fall out here in the real world, but it is also Fall at Aldi (Falldi, if you will), so we must, as is our duty, share with you all of the exciting Aldi finds coming our way this October that we can’t wait to try!

- Freaky Franken Sage Derby ($4.29, Available Oct. 2)
-
Besides sounding like something my dad would yell when he stubs his toe, this sounds like a tasty cheese flavor with excellent Halloweeny branding (eve if it’s not the most appetizing branding). For those wondering—as I was—derby is a mild cheddar-like cheese, not just that horse thing with the big hats, the Mint Juleps, and the fried chicken with 11 herbs and spices. And sage derby is just that same mild cheddar made pale green by being infused with herby sage. Nothing freaky about this Aldi find!

- Specially Selected Fall Harvest Mac & Cheese ($2.99, Available Oct. 9)
-
I don’t know what makes this mac and cheese “Specially Selected,” but I would like to ~specially~ request that someone whip up some of this for me right the heck now. It’s hard to beat the herby, salty, creamy, slightly sweet perfect storm of flavor that is butternut squash mac and cheese, and while I haven’t tried Aldi’s take on this, I sure would like to.

- Barissimo Pumpkin Spice or Peppermint Cold Foam ($3.69, Available Oct. 16)
-
What can I say? I am a cold foam-on-coffee kind of gal. I think the texture is lovely and the added sweetness is welcome. Some people may disagree with me on this, but seeing as those people probably aren’t nine out of ten dentists, I think my opinion is valid. I mean, who doesn’t love just a liiiiitle bit of almost-whipped cream on their morning coffee, especially if come October 16 you can get that almost-whipped cream in both pumpkin spice and peppermint flavor at Aldi? I rest my case.
- Belmont Caramel Apple or Pumpkin Spice Whipped Cheesecake ($5.99, Available Oct. 23)
-
I mean, come on. We all love pumpkin cheesecake (and if you don’t you are either wrong or lactose intolerant), and most of us have never tried caramel apple cheesecake, but for the most part, we can agree it sounds and looks pretty fire. This is one of the October Aldi finds that will 100% be in my cart.
- Breakfast Best French Toast or Bacon Egg & Cheese Meatballs ($5.99, Available Oct. 30)
-
ALERT ALERT, THIS IS NOT A DRILL! THIS IS, IN FACT, TWO DIFFERENT FLAVORS OF BREAKFAST MEATBALLS, PEOPLE!
Yes, breakfast meatballs in two flavors: French Toast & Maple and Bacon, Egg & Cheddar Cheese. Sometimes Aldi finds are insane, and we love that. Will the French toast meatballs taste kind of like that Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage pancake corndog thing? God, I hope so. Will the bacon, egg, and cheese meatballs taste like a Starbucks or McDonald’s breakfast sandwich sans the bread? Ugh, that’s the dream. Do I feel the sudden urge to buy both of these October Ald finds and make them my whole personality for the next month or so? Oh, absolutely. Everyone who comes to my apartment is either tasting these or vegetarian.

- Millville Flavors of Fall Granola in Caramel Apple and Cinnamon Bun ($3.69, Available Oct. 2)
-
Granola is one of the greatest breakfast foods out there, and people aren’t talking about that enough. Even just slightly sweet, cinnamon-y granola is absolutely fire on its own, but this fall, Aldi is daring to dream bigger with both caramel apple and cinnamon bun granola offerings. Will this cinnamon bun granola be as good as Trader Joe’s version? Only time will tell, but I for one have my granola-buying fingers prepped and primed for later this week— that is to say, I got my $3.69 and I’m not afraid to use it on the best Aldi finds.
