A New Permanent Mountain Dew Flavor Is Coming to Canada

It’s not every day that we get to talk to you about exciting news going on in Canada, but Pepsi (owners of Mountain Dew) have been cooking in the secret underground lair (presumably in the DEWkon…like Yukon but with Mountain Dew) and sources have told supersoda superstan Team Supernova that Mountain Dew HoneyDEW will launch as a permanent flavor in early 2025.

What is Mountain Dew HoneyDEW?

HoneyDEW is, as the name implies, a honeydew melon flavor of Mountain Dew. It was initially scheduled to launch in the United States in 2023 as a permanent flavor according to our sources. However, plans changed and Pitch Black ended up making a triumphant return instead.

Jump forward a few months and HoneyDEW made a surprise appearance in Canada as a limited time flavor, sold only in bottles. Though it’s not the first time another country has received a flavor the United States does not have, it was certainly a momentous occasion, nonetheless.

Smash cut to today and Pepsi is now planning to bring Mountain Dew HoneyDEW back to Canada for good—but still only in bottles! sources tell us the Circle K and Couche-Tard will have exclusivity at first, and then it will open up and be sold in stores everywhere in Canada.

When will Mountain Dew HoneyDEW arrive in the U.S.?

Alas, my friend, it appears at this time Pepsi has no plans to release HoneyDEW in the United States. American readers will have to search places like eBay or the more competitively priced Dew market on the Mountain Dew Discord (yes, that is a thing!). Here’s hoping one day Pepsi changes their mind. But for now, our friends in Canada have a new flavor of Mountain Dew to hunt for next year!
