I have bad news. As a dedicated fun-drink lover and a person who sometimes needs to stop by my local drugstore, I was a bit disappointed with the drink selection at Walgreens. Most of everything they offer is a sensible choice! What are they…some kind of wellness store? Ridiculous! Nevertheless, I persisted and was able to find a few pret-ty fun Walgreens drinks to recommend—and, yeah, some sensible options, too. The next time you need to pick up a prescription and you happen to be thirsty, keep an eye out for these Sporked-approved sips.
- Gatorlyte Mixed Berry
-
I’m late to the party because I didn’t know Gatorlyte existed until I started looking for the best Walgreens drinks. Turns out Sporked was already on the case—my colleague Ariana Losch tried all the Gatorlyte flavors and ranked them alongside the rest of Gatorade’s offerings. Even I can’t keep up with everything the team tastes. Turns out, Ariana’s favorite Gatorlyte flavor is also one of the best drinks at Walgreens. If you’re not familiar, Gatorlyte is an electrolyte bev akin to Pedialyte, but it’s ostensibly intended for dehydrated adults rather than sick children. The next time you shuffle into your local Walgreens for hangover snacks, be sure to pick up a bottle of Mixed Berry Gatorlyte, too.

- Remedy Mixed Berry Kombucha
-
Speaking of things I’m late on, did you know that kombucha comes in cans? Yes? Okay, well, I’ve only ever seen it in bottles. Seeing it in a can seems sacrilegious, but I think it just makes sense to include kombucha on our list of Walgreens drinks given that it has all sorts of purported gut health benefits. Where Dollar Tree is all about fun, exciting drinks you’ve never seen before and may not see anywhere else, Walgreens is stocking updated classics, like this Remedy kombucha, which also happens to be sugar free.

- Java Monster Irish Blend
-
Okay, now we found the fun drinks! Walgreens, like many similar stores, has a ton of Monster energy drinks in their coolers. If you thought Oreo had a lot flavors, you’re in for a real treat when you look at everything Monster has created. I’d typically look at Sporked’s ranking of Monster drinks, pick the best one, and recommend that to you. But I’m taking a different tack with this list of Wagreens drinks, because when I see a Monster energy drink with added coffee and Irish creme in the mix, I throw all logic out of the window. This might be the final boss of fun drinks and we all need to try it.

- Costa Signature Blend Iced Coffee Latte
-
Although the aforementioned Monster drink has coffee in it, I figure that much caffeine probably isn’t for everyone—myself included, if my doctor is reading this. A more sensible approach to getting a quick hit of caffeine when you’re running late is to grab a canned iced latte, like this Costa coffee drink. It’ll save you a few bucks and crucial minutes when you can’t be bothered to wait for the barista down the street to brew you up a cup of joe.

- Fanta Pineapple
-
This one makes our Walgreens drinks list for a couple of reasons: Yes, Pineapple Fanta is the best Fanta flavor, according to the Sporked crew. But I also added this to our list of Walgreens drinks because it’s a Fanta flavor that I rarely see. There’s Orange Fanta galore, but I never notice Pineapple—and it’s a pretty noticeable color. That’s on me, everyone! Suffice it to say, if you see this in the Walgreens drinks section, buy it. Yes, it’s soda and it’s totally fruit juice-free, but it really tastes like juicy, delicious pineapple. That’ll make your drugstore trip more palatable.

- Oreo Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Creations
-
Sorry, Dollar Tree, but you might have to cede the title of official Fun Drink (™ pending) supplier after this one! Oreo-flavored Coca-Cola is the ultimate fun drink. As a lover of Oreos, I have no choice but to stan such an abomination. If you’re wondering, I have tried this but I won’t spoil your experience with my personal thoughts. You’ll just have to find a bottle amid the rest of the drinks at Walgreens to find out if it truly tastes like an Oreo or not! Okayyyy fine…if you really want deets before you buy a bottle, you can read Sporked‘s official review.

- Beatbox Party Punch Pink Lemonade
-
One way that Walgreens beats out Dollar Tree when it comes to fun drinks? Walgreens sells alcohol and Dollar Tree doesn’t. In fact, Walgreens has a pretty big selection of boozy bevs, which I wasn’t necessarily expecting. I don’t drink very often, but when I do, you better believe I’m reaching for a Beatbox to pregame. These things are sweet, tasty, and they barely taste like alcohol. That’s my kind of hard drink! I’m partial to their Pink Lemonade, but there are a few options on the shelves of the Walgreens drinks section for you to check out.
- Pepto-Bismol
-
I had to put one truly Walgreens-specific drink on the list, and Pepto-Bismol is technically a drink! You can’t sip on it for pleasure, but a drink that’s made having diarrhea into a catchy jingle is one worth getting. I don’t have many medicines on hand (I’m a buy-em-as-you-need-em kind of guy), but I do have a giant bottle of Pepto-Bismol in my cabinet, so I’m ready for anything taste testing sends my way.
