5 New Trader Joe’s Foods Dropping in October

October means it’s officially spooky season, and nothing is scarier than the thought of missing out on new Trader Joe’s products. Except, maybe, ax murderers that cut you…in line at Trader Joe’s!Even if you’re sick of pumpkin, there’s no shortage of October options at TJ’s. Whether you’re fueling up for a tick-or-treat trek, carbo-loading for a haunted house marathon, or simply feeding yourself because you’re an adult and life goes on, rest assured there’s a new Trader Joe’s food for you. Here are five October Trader Joe’s drops we’re psyched about.

Roti with Thai Red Curry

Across the country, leaves are turning red, orange, and yellow. That’s nice, but we’re hungry. Why look at rolling hills with autumn leaves when you can roll your cart through the frozen aisle at Trader Joe’s and leave with this heat-and-eat shortcut to a flavorful and warming meal that’s also vegan friendly? One package comes with a spicy red coconut milk curry containing eggplant, cabbage, and potatoes, as well as some accompanying roti. These flaky flatbreads come three to a pack, which comes in handy because I always share with my three besties—me, myself, and I.

Sourdough Boules

Bread is always welcome, but this particular Trader Joe’s bread product is exceptionally appropriate for the season for a couple reasons. First, “boules” sounds like “ghouls.” Second, there’s no better way to do soup season than out of a bread bowl. The chewy, tangy sourdough is the perfect vessel for a hearty stew or chili, but it also saves you the hassle of washing a bowl. With all this extra free time, you could learn a new language! You could build houses for the unhoused! You could reflect on if your dishwashing is actually really inefficient if it takes as much time as learning a new language!

Thick, Bold, and Spicy Red Sauce

Thick, bold, and spicy? Apparently, we like our partners like we like our sauce. The straightforward, descriptive name makes a lot of promises, but in Joe we trust. The sauce starts with a base of a tomato sauce. Then basil, honey, sun-dried tomatoes, crushed red pepper, ancho chili pepper powder, black pepper, and paprika join the party. It’s thick. It’s bold. It’s spicy. Check, check, check.

Vanilla Cardamom Cold Brew Coffee

Real ones know that it’s never too cold for cold brew. We don’t know if it’s just the time of year, but the packaging of this new Trader Joe’s cold brew looks a little witch-y in the best way. But, even if the design doesn’t ring pagan to you, the floral spice of cardamom and the sweet vanilla will remind you that fall is the tastiest season.

Cinnamon Sugar Cashews

As humans, it’s in our nature to crave cinnamon rolls. It’s also in our nature to be too lazy to make cinnamon rolls, and therein lies the problem. Enter these munchable cashews as the vessel for all the cinnamon sugar flavor for which we yearn. Finally, you can indulge in the cinnamon sugar flavor without buying cinnamon rolls or burning your buns trying to make your own cinnamon rolls.
