7 New Costco Products You Need to Try This Month

August can be a rough month. Summer is over. The school year is starting. It’s approximately 300 degrees outside and will be for the foreseeable future. But we have good news for Costco shoppers: Your favorite bulk retailer really cranked out the new Costco products for August. Or maybe there aren’t more new products than usual, and it’s simply that I spent three hours at the store this past Friday night because I had nowhere else to be and I needed more steps for my FitBit. Either way, my loss and blank social calendar are your gain, you could say. Here’s our roundup of what to buy at Costco in August, new and new-to-me products included.

Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Popcorn

When we’re looking for what to buy at Costco, snacks are always no-brainers because they’re the most fun. Sure, no one needs a massive bag of Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Popcorn, but your life would certainly improve if you had it around. Whether you need an afternoon snack to kick you into gear, a no-prep snack for movie night, or just something to mindlessly eat when you have the munchies, your towering bag of Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Popcorn will be there for you.

Pulmuone Beef Japchae

I’m a sucker for a quick meal kit from Costco. Who wants to cook a full meal from scratch after you unload your stockpile of bulk groceries? Not me! I’ve never seen this meal kit before, so I’m counting it as a new Costco product. You have to love the simplicity. It has everything you need in one bag: starchy sweet potato glass noodles, beef steak strips, veggies, and a sweet-and-savory sauce. You’re ready to throw together your own Korean-inspired dish with one purchase.

Honey Smoked Fish Co. Honey Smoked Salmon Stackers

These little cracker snack kits give rich adult Lunchables vibes. Like you’d bring them with you out on the golf course. Or pack them for your flight on the private jet. I don’t do either of those things on the regular, but that can’t stop me from imagining I’m doing them while I pop a bite-sized stack of rice cracker, lemon chive spread, and honey smoked salmon into my mouth. These are fancy, but they’re still Costco priced. Take that, richies! We’re appropriating your culture on a budget.

Nature’s Garden Probiotic Strawberry Yoggies

I don’t know if these fruity yogurt-coated bites are healthy simply because they contain “2 billion probiotic cultures,” but I do know that I’ll feel better about eating a bunch of these instead of eating a fistful of Peanut M&M’s. You get 30 individual little pouches in one big back, so if your list of what to buy at Costco includes back to school snacks, this is a good find.

Country Archer Mango Habanero Beef Jerky

If you thought beef jerky was expensive, imagine buying it in bulk! It’s the grocery-shopping equivalent of sending off your car payment for the month. But who can resist the tempting combo of mango and habanero on a pound of dehydrated meat? I’m just hoping the spice levels are a little on the high side so I don’t scarf down an entire bag in a week.

Kirkland Signature Orange Dreamsicle Cheesecake

Here’s what to buy at Costco if you’re not ready for summer to be over quite yet, but you also don’t have to worry about wearing a swimsuit for the next nine months. This Kirkland Orange Dreamsicle Cheesecake looks, in a word, insane. You get the best cheesecake (according to Sporked teams taste tests) infused with orange flavor to create a more decadent version of one of the best ice cream bars out there. I’ll be honest: I wish this new Costco product would have hit stores a little earlier in the season, but really, I’m just happy to try it now.

Kirkland Signature S’more Cookies

Dang, someone was really cooking—or, um, baking in this instance—when they were dreaming up new Costco products to hit the bakery in August. I’m a sucker for anything s’mores related, so I’m excited about this one. I didn’t grab these only because I’m too afraid of how fast I’d eat them. Please get them ASAP and let me know how they are! In the meantime, I’ll be hoping I get invited to a party soon so I have an excuse to buy them and share.
