September has arrived, fall is on its way, and without summer’s constant deodorant application, we’re free to use the precious moments to gawk at new Trader Joe’s products. Even outside of their annual Pumpkin Palooza drop, TJ’s is offering up no shortage of items for people who are already tired of being bombarded by gourds. Here are five new Trader Joe’s items you gotta try this September.
- Chile Crackers
-
Some people have vision boards. We prefer cheese boards. And none would be complete without these spicy squares of flavorful goodness. But while the heat from these crackers can be complemented or tamed by the creaminess of cheese, it’s a shame to typecast them solely as a fromage sidekick. Enjoy these crackers with various dips, your favorite sliced meat, or just as an out of hand snack. If you’re in the market for something crunchy, spicy, and savory, these are the new Trader Joe’s food for you.
- Crunchy Pops
-
Potato chips are fantastic, but these new Trader Joe’s snacks go the extra mile. Made with a blend of potato starch, pea flour, and corn flour, these snacks are both air puffed and baked to lock in a crunch and a toasted flavor. If you think it sounds like a challenge to make them, just think about what a challenge it’ll be to not eat an entire bag.
- Sweet Potato Habanero Hot Sauce
-
Sweet potatoes covered in marshmallows? No! Have your sweet potato with some spice, like a MAN! For those who have alienated their friends and families with gender normative stereotypes and linking their egos to spice tolerance, at least they have this delicious hot sauce. For those who know that good taste knows no gender, this hot sauce is still delicious. For everyone else asking what on earth this has to do with being politically correct and why we “have to always make it a thing,” guess what? The sauce is STILL worth a try.
- Unexpected Cheddar Cheese and Turkey Sausage Egg White Bites
-
We grew up not only loving breakfast food, but understanding that breakfast is a state of mind. We can have eggs whenever we dang well please, especially when they’re combined in an easy heat-and-eat format that includes TJ’s well-loved cheddar (some of the best cheese at Trader Joe’s) and turkey sausage.
- Freeze Dried Tart Cherries
-
Depending on where you live, September might mean the beginning of the end of bright summer flavors. Luckily, there are methods of preservation so that we can enjoy cherries all year long! Thank you, science, for enabling our entitlement to food we want, when we want it, not to mention our denial of the passage of time. We know these are your top priorities.
