Fun August Aldi Finds We Can’t Wait to Try

Y’all, it has been an exciting week. The U.S. Athletes are killing it at the Olympics, Snoop Dogg is killing it at the Olympics, and, back on this side of the pond, August Aldi finds are finally upon us. I’m so stoked, I could poop in the Seine! But seeing as I am not in Paris, and I typically prefer to use bathrooms when ~dropping the kids at the pool~ (as it were), I will instead channel my excitement into telling y’all which new Aldi products we are looking forward to trying out most this month.

Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen Indian Style Butter Flavor Chickpea Pizza (Available 8/14 $4.99)

It’s not clear from the packaging exactly what this is, but by the looks of it, it would seem that this is a protein-packed chickpea crust pizza made with what is essentially an Indian butter chicken sauce (unclear if there is any chicken involved or if this will be vegetarian) and loads of cheese. I also spy diced tomatoes, red onion, and whole garbanzos sprinkled on top. I have had a few Indian pizzas in my day and, let me tell you, these things are a marvel of fusion food madness. I’m stoked that this is one the August Aldi finds.

L’Oven Fresh Cloud Bread (Available 8/28, $5.49)

Back in 2020, a confection called cloud bread went viral on TikTok. So, okay, Aldi might be late to this trend, but this is one of those new Aldi finds we can’t help but try. These fluffy discs of bread are keto friendly (because they’re made with egg and cream cheese), zero carb, and totally sugar free. Can they possibly taste good? Only one way to find out. If only they were pastel!

Fremont Seafood Boil (Available 8/12, $9.99)

Trader Joe’s recently released a very delicious frozen seafood boil, so we were excited to see this on the list of new Aldi finds for August. It comes with raw shrimp, corn on the cob, mussels, red skin potatoes, andouille sausage, and a seasoning packet. You just dump the bag in boiling water and, voila, a Southern-style seafood boil you can dump on a picnic table and absolutely demolish. Don’t forget the wet wipes.

Vitalife Prebiotic Root Beer & Strawberry Vanilla (Available 8/12, $1.69)

Probiotic and prebiotic sodas like Olipop and TK have really popped off in the past few years (pun entirely intended), and Aldi is getting in on that gut-health action. These new Vitalife prebiotic sodas come in two flavors: Root Beer and Strawberry Vanilla, both of which happen to be existing Olipop flavors. Both of these new sodas are low sugar, according to the label, and each has 9 grams of plant fiber. Coke can’t say that, now can it?

Chocolate S’mores Souffle (Available 8/12, $2.29)

This new Aldi find looks pret-ty insane (in a good way). You get a little glass ramekin (cute!) filled with a graham cracker crumble, a dark chocolate souffle, and big ol’ blobs of marshmallow cream. You just heat the whole thing and then eat the whole thing. This seems like a perfect end-of-summer product, especially if you never got around to making s’mores around the campfire, but there’s also a banana caramel souffle if that’s more your taste. This Aldi find is imported from France, which makes it Olympics-coded, too.

Chorizo Breakfast Pizza (Available 8/7, $5.99)

Hot take: Breakfast pizza is underrated, especially when it’s covered in chorizo (honestly, we’d take some country gravy, too, but let’s not be greedy, shall we). This new Aldi pizza is topped with two cheeses—mozzarella and cheddar—scrambled eggs, chorizo, tomatoes, jalapeños, and, perhaps the weird part, pizza sauce, all on a wood-fired crust. Plus, it’s grab-and-go rather than frozen, so it cooks up fast. This is a perf Aldi find for people who just don’t have the energy to make breakfast on a Sunday morning but still want something fun to eat.
