There’s a lot of smart shopping you can do at Dollar Tree to salvage your budget. Canned foods, frozen foods, healthy snacks—you name it, they’ve got it. I’m going to be real with y’all, though. We’re not here to be smart this month. When I was looking for the best things to buy at Dollar Tree in July, I found a lot of fun foods and drinks to try. We’re talking new creations and wild brand collaborations. But that’s the beauty of Dollar Tree. This stuff only costs $1.25! So buy the foods you actually need, but save some dough for something fun. Here are some of the best finds I spotted at Dollar Tree on a recent visit.
- Betty Crocker Classic Suddenly Pasta Salad
-
Okay, I fibbed. There is one responsible, grown-up item on this list. I figured it should come first so the responsible readers can dip afterwards. Anyway, summer is pasta salad season, so add this box of Suddenly Salad to your list of the best things to buy at Dollar Tree this month. Whether you’re gearing up for a picnic in the park, a potluck at work, or you just want to gorge on a summer salad while you watch YouTube videos on the couch in the comfort of your air conditioned apartment, a box of Pasta Salad from Dollar Tree will do you well. This is perfect for the person who wasn’t bequeathed a family-favorite pasta salad recipe from their great grandma.

- Blueberry Moon Pie Minis Marshmallow Sandwiches
-
I’m not a big Moon Pie guy, but these did catch my eye with the tagline “once in a blue moon.” I didn’t see it on any other variety, so I did some digging and it turns out these aren’t just new to Dollar Tree, they’re just plain new! It turns out you can get your hands on the latest creation from the eternally classic Moon Pie at Dollar Tree this month.
- Breyers Cookies & Cream Iced Coffee
-
The lovable maniacs who brought us Cinnamon Toast Crunch- and Snickers-flavored bottled coffee drinks are up to their shenanigans again. This time, they’ve graced us with iced coffee that’s made to taste like Breyers Cookies & Cream. I’m not sure how it’ll play out in coffee form, but there are few things I wouldn’t at least try for the meager fee of $1.25. So Dollar Tree, you’ve got yourself another sale!

- Jell-O Sour Cherry Candy Squares
-
These are a new-to-me product at Dollar Tree that really grabbed my attention. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything Jell-O branded except, well…Jell-O. Do I necessarily crave Jell-O and wish it came in other forms? Not really, no. But I’m willing to support Jell-O as they embark on this journey of innovation because, at the end of the day, I love seeing what new products companies can create. Anyway, these look kind of like Haribo Sour Streamers, and that’s definitely not a bad thing.
- Classic Cookie Mini Cookies with Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips
-
If Jell-O needs further help expanding into new product terrain, they should keep an eye on what Reese’s is up to. The peanut butter cup progenitor is everywhere, and we’re pretty much never going to say no to one of their delicious collabs. That goes for these mini cookies from Classic Cookie. They contain Reese’s peanut butter chips. Normal peanut butter chips wouldn’t move product! And you know what? They got me. Because I left Dollar Tree with a bag of these to try.
- M&M’s Mint Ice Cream Sandwich
-
On the Dollar Tree website, this ice cream sandwich’s wrapper features the pre-makeover sexy Green M&M, which would probably make it a collector’s item. Sadly, M&M’s mint ice cream sandwiches I spotted at my local store came in a different wrapper. But the good news? This is still a mint ice cream sandwich! Yes. Mint ice cream between chocolate cookies scattered with M&M’s Minis. The perfect summer treat to buy at Dollar Tree this month.

- SunnyD Rocket Pop Juice Drink
-
You’re not going to fucking believe it. I dropped to my knees in Dollar Tree when I saw this beauty. ROCKET POP SUNNY D. What a time to be alive! I just got done gushing over 56 ounces of the OG flavor being available and now they went and outdid themselves. This is a must-have for the rest of your summer celebrations.
