The Best Trader Joe’s Wraps, Ranked (and Rapped)

The best Trader Joe’s wraps should taste like they’re fresh from the deli counter—not fresh out of plastic after sitting on the fridge shelf for days. They should have tender meats, crunchy veggies, and a sauce that keeps things zesty and interesting.

If your lunch (and life) has never been saved by the grab-and-go section of Trader Joe’s, well, I’m a little sad for you, because that means you’ve probably never tried TJ’s lemon pasta salad. Otherwise, I’m not that sad for you, because here’s the truth: There are some pretty lackluster grab-and-go wraps at Trader Joe’s. I’m just speaking honestly, from the heart, from the soul. Some of them are boring and dry. Those sad little wraps? Those didn’t make this list. But the five best wraps at Trader Joe’s you see below? These are a whole different story, yo. So without any further delay, let the wrap battle commence!

Unfortunately, I mean that literally. I turned my notes on the best wraps at Trader Joe’s…into raps. Yep. Take a deep breath and prepare yourself for the second-hand embarrassment you’re about to receive. I am rapping this ranking of the best Trader Joe’s wraps to you. (I’m so sorry.) (Genuinely, I am so sorry.)

Organic Southwest Style Chicken Wrap

Best Trader Joe’s Wraps!

Trader Joe’s Organic Southwest Style Chicken Wrap

Black beans, bell peppers, corn and cheese / this little cutie is such a tease / That chipotle ranch got a black bean bite / When you crunch that bell pepper, damn, it’s outta sight. / Trader Joe’s southwest chicken wrap ain’t the king of the map / But hey, TJ’s, I’ll still give you a clap / Tender and moist, the chicken’s on point / Might not be the best, but it won’t disappoint.

Translation: This is not the best southwest wrap you’ll ever have, nor is it the best Trader Joe’s wrap, but hey, it’s decent! (Like my rap, right?? Right???) The chipotle ranch dipping sauce has a spicy black bean kick to it, which keeps things interesting—but when you get a bite of that bell pepper, that’s when the wrap really hits.

Trader Joe’s Grilled Pesto Chicken Wrap

Best Trader Joe’s Wraps!

Trader Joe’s Grilled Pesto Chicken Wrap

Trader Joe’s Chicken Wrap with Pesto, let’s go / Tender, not rubbery, the chicken steals the show / Sun-dried tomatoes, bringing in the light / Adding brightness, making every bite right. / Vinaigrette twist, tangy surprise / Do I love it? Still a debate in my mind / A little light on the pesto, heavy on the tang / Wrap it up, still good buck for your bang.

Translation: Is the Trader Joe’s chicken pesto wrap the best wrap at Trader Joe’s? Nah. The pesto vinaigrette needs more pesto, if you ask me. But the tender chicken and soft, lightly sweet and tangy sun-dried tomatoes really make up for it.

Trader Joe's Buffalo Chicken Wrap

Best Trader Joe’s Wraps!

Trader Joe’s Buffalo Style Chicken Wrap with Blue Cheese Dressing

Yo, it’s me, the Buffalo Queen / This TJ’s wrap makes me feel seen / Buffalo vibes in every bite / Even the tortilla has some buffalo might / That chicken salad, so moist, so fine / Paired with blue cheese, got me feelin’ divine.

Translation: I love Buffalo anything, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Trader Joe’s Buffalo Chicken Wrap is my personal favorite of the bunch. This is basically Buffalo-flavored chicken salad with crunchy celery in an orange, Buffalo-flavored tortilla—a nice touch, if you ask me. But the real standout here is the blue cheese dressing. It’s super creamy and a little thick, with small bits of cheese that melt in your mouth.

Spicy lentil wrap, got that zing / Tahini sauce, mild nutty flavor with serious sting / We like it toasted, that’s the way to go / Soft and flaky bread dough, let the flavors flow / Too much cabbage, need more lentil in the mix / But this spicy wrap still got its kicks.

The tahini dressing has a great kick and a mild nut butter flavor that isn’t overpowering. The pita wrap itself is soft and flaky yet sturdy—it holds everything together without being too thick.
