The best frozen soft pretzels are salty, a little chewy, and soft. They should remind you of being in the 8th grade and walking around the mall with your friend, hoping to find something very cool to wear to a pool party.
You might not frequent the mall as much as you used to (or be invited to as many pool parties), but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t enjoy a nice, hot soft pretzel. There’s a surprising number of frozen soft pretzel options at the grocery store. We tried them all to determine which capture that middle school nostalgia and which are just boring old dough.

- Auntie Anne’s Pretzel Nuggets

Surprise! The iconic soft pretzel chain you know and love makes delicious soft pretzels you can enjoy at home. Just kidding, it’s not a surprise at all. Auntie Anne knows what she’s doing! These were my favorite pretzel nuggets we tried. They’re plush and buttery and perfectly salted. Oh, did I mention these come with a little packet of butter for drizzling? Sheer perfection. These are definitely some of the best frozen soft pretzels we tried.

- SUPERPRETZEL Soft Pretzel Mozzarella Filled Bites
-
If you’re going SUPERPRETZEL, you absolutely must go for the cheese-stuffed pretzel bites. These tiny bites, which are stuffed with gooey, hot cheese, are total bliss. This mozzarella version is my second favorite rendition of the SUPERPRETZEL soft pretzel filled bites. They’re mild and melty and the perfect snack for literally anyone (minus people who can’t have gluten and dairy, of course). These would be delicious dipped in honey mustard or marinara, but they’re also good all on their own.

- Auntie Anne’s Classic Soft Frozen Pretzels
-
Auntie Anne’s Classic Soft Frozen Pretzels are the best frozen soft pretzels if you’re looking for a classic soft pretzel. Like the bites, these come with packets of butter to add before you bake to make the pretzels extra luxurious. If you’re trying to do the whole beer hall thing at home, this pretzel is ideal. Pair it with beer cheese and extra-grainy dijon mustard for a very German evening. Oh, and don’t forget the beer!

- SUPERPRETZEL Soft Pretzel Pepperjack Filled Bites
-
SUPERPRETZEL Soft Pretzel Pepperjack Filled Bites are the best version of the SUPERPRETZEL Soft Pretzel filled bites, which is saying a lot because they’re all delicious. These pepper jack ones, though, are extra delicious. They’re super creamy and have a nice little kick. Imagine dipping these in queso. Wow! They’d also be great with salsa. Honestly, they would be great with anything. They’d be good eaten out of a shoe. Just eat these and you’ll understand.

- Kroger Bavarian Style Soft Sticks Pub Style
-
These Kroger Sticks are unbelievable. I mean that. It is unbelievable that frozen soft pretzel sticks from Kroger can be so good. These are better than any soft pretzel I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I will be having these at any and every party I host from now until the end of time. If they ever discontinue them, I will write a desperate plea to Kroger to bring them back. These are among the best things I’ve eaten in my entire time at Sporked.
