In February, Coca-Cola returned as a Super Bowl advertiser after an 8-year hiatus with new ads for Full Throttle and Vault energy drinks. The slogan for Full Throttle, which is marketed to men, is ``Let your man out.''
Full Throttle gained an 8 percent share of the energy drink market after its first year, Beverage Digest said.
``New drinks can really help bump sales, and Coke has been creating a lot of them lately,'' said John C. Thompson, who helps manage more than $2 billion including Coca-Cola shares at Thompson Investment Management LLC in Madison, Wisconsin. ``At the end of the day, though, Coke needs to sell more Cokes.''
